Bioshock 2 Crashing Worse than Before

Hello! I want to start this by saying I am very new to these things, and I am not very savvy when it comes to messing around with game files, so any help would be greatly appreciated! This will also be a bit of a spiel, so please forgive me, and thank you for reading and/or helping.

I have been trying for hours to get Bioshock 2 to work, but it just isn't working. I know the game is notorious for crashing, and I was doing fine for up to 9 hours. It would only ever crash between levels, or very rarely during fights with multiple enemies. This changed when I got to the end of Fontaine Futuristics, however. It started with crashing whenever I played a few minutes of the game, and then it went to crashing right after my save loaded, to crashing when trying to even load the save file. It just kept snowballing into worse and worse crashes!

I did everything with the latest DXVK version to the best of my ability, and messed around with other things that the community wrote to change, and I got the game to load into the title screen for just a few moments before it now crashes there! I tried to start a new game in the limited time that I got on the screen, to no avail. It just won't stop crashing, and for the first time, it went to a white screen before I had to force quit the program. It has only ever gotten worse.

I don't know what's going on with the game, but I've done everything as it was written, and have made sure everything is updated on my computer, as well as anything else that was required. I am really at a loss, as I want so badly to experience this game for a personal reason, but this is all just so tiring and saddening to me.

I'm sorry for such a long post, but any ideas on what to do next would be greatly appreciated! I'm willing to try anything at this point. Thank you!
