Describe the problem

When using the OfficeViewer extension in VSCode / Antigravity to preview Markdown files, the section sidebar on the left is expanded by default, and there does not appear to be a clear way to hide it or make it closed / collapsed by default. When working with multiple explorer panes, side panels, or split windows, this section sidebar takes up too much horizontal space and makes the main content area noticeably narrower, which hurts usability. As shown in the screenshots, the section sidebar continues to occupy the left side even when it is not needed. This becomes more noticeable in narrow windows, split layouts, or workflows with multiple side panels open.

Expected result

I would like the following behavior:

1. A way to manually hide / show the section sidebar.
2. An option to have the section sidebar closed / collapsed by default.
3. Ideally, it should remember the last expanded / collapsed state. This would save screen space and leave more room for the document content in multi-window and split-pane workflows.

Screenshots are attached. The first screenshot shows the section sidebar taking up a large amount of space on the left.
The second screenshot shows the same sidebar expanded by default in another file, reducing the usable width for the main content.

Additional information

Additional notes:

• The issue occurs inside the OfficeViewer extension.
• I noticed that the extension credits list Vanessa219/vditor for Markdown rendering, so this may also be related to the underlying Markdown component.
• Even so, the actual environment where I am seeing this issue is OfficeViewer.
• The problem is more noticeable on smaller screens, split layouts, or when multiple side panels are open.
• This is mainly a usability / UX request, but it has a direct impact on the user experience.
