The problem is a bug: LuCI does not time out or skip statvfs() for potentially disconnected file systems, and rpcd has no mechanism to prevent deadlocks—this is a vulnerability in the robustness of the upstream OpenWrt/LuCI code, and the same code on native OpenWrt would also be affected (the community's "LuCi hangs and spins" is in this category). iStoreOS did not create it, but it is more likely to be encountered: it bundles these pages (the storage card on the home page + dockerman) together, and home users often have NAS.
