Settings overlay closes when clicking on empty area below the left panel.

Steps to reproduce

• Open settings UI.
• Open any <select> dropdown.
• Click on the empty area below the left panel.
• Settings overlay closes but it should not.

Note that this only happens when a <select> dropdown is opened.
