Can we get an update feature and index for mods feature in the menu?

I just tried gen1recomp for Pokemon and it comes with an option to "check for updates" in the menu for both the recomp and the installed mods. Also, you can add an index for all the mods. Check it out, it's pretty neat! Just wondered if this could be on future recomps, so we don't have to download recomp and mod updates manually etc.
