LightGBM Accuracy: 0.9114 on Fashion MNIST

Didn't test on MNIST.

Preprocessing:

.data.numpy().reshape(len(data), -1) → flattens the image.

StandardScaler() → ensures mean = 0, var = 1 before passing to ML models.
