MQTT topic lenght restriction

Is there a possibility to unrestrict MQTT topic size? Fot whatever reason it's restricted to 33 chars which is quite limiting for segmentation in the bigger applications. Same goes with MQTT Group topic.

I'm on version 0.16 but it's there from the very beggining.
