Add option to disable long press for multiselect

I understand that long press has been added as a way to support multiple selection (multiselect) on tablets, but it would be great to have more control over this.

I find that, when my users try to drag an item they have selected, if they don't start dragging immediately, the item will become deselected before they have a chance to drag it. This is especially problematic on a trackpad, but also with a mouse and I've had to disable multiselect as a feature.

Would it be possible to add an option to disable multiselect or at least specify a longer time delay for the "long press" so that this is less of an issue for users?
