[Bug]: Auto commit-and-sync stopped working

Describe the bug

Hi. Have been using the feature with no problem until recently, now no auto syncs are being performed. I have auto commit-and-sync interval set to five minutes, auto commit-and-sync after stopping file editing set to enabled, auto commit-and-sync only staged files is disabled.

Amended files remain in changed state and are not getting staged or synced.

Relevant errors (if available) from notifications or console (CTRL+SHIFT+I)

Steps to reproduce

Manually commit and sync.

Make a change to a file.

Wait at least five minutes.

Expected Behavior

Latest change should be auto committed.

Addition context

Latest change is not auto committed, or even staged.
