5.14 Alpha UI Hang Exiting Machine Settings

Reproduction steps

1. Open Cura
2. Select Preferences > Configure Cura.... > Printer > Machine Settings
3. Close the Machine Settings

Actual results

On Closing the Machine Settings the UI hangs / becomes unresponsive for 30-60s before I can interact with the UI or Close the Preferences window.

I initially thought it might be something to do with one of Aldo's plugins that I'd ported to work on 5.14 as I've done some work to fix the glitchy MaterialSettingsPlugin. But it occurs even with that plugin as well as the SideBarGUIPlugin and TabbedSettingsPlugin removed

Expected results

UI shouldn't hang / become unresponsive for such a lengthy period
