Window gets very large after switching monitors

Steps to reproduce
I use a notebook with 3840x2400 native display resolution. It uses 200% scale, so the programs can probably see it as 1920x1200. But I mostly use my external monitor with a classic 1920x1080 resolution. Unfortunately, notebook often switches back to its native display after a sleep, so I need to switch it back to the external monitor every day right after I turn it on. When I do this, the window of Telegram Desktop gets resized to a larger size, much larger than reasonable.
I performed the same test on both displays: I am on one display. I set Telegram window to the half of the screen width and the half of the screen height (i.e. W/2 x H/2 = covering 1/4 of the screen area). Then I switch to the other display and watch how big is the Telegram window.
Additional notes
The external monitor has slightly different resolution 1920x1080, but they are very similar and that's why the human-friendly and logical behavior is to keep the window's size relatively same on each display. Also, it makes sense to expect it to keep the relative size to its own contents.
Expected behaviour
Unsurprisingly, I would expect the window size to be preserved. Especially after I do a whole round-trip, the window size should be back to its original size. This "the same" size can be either relative to the monitor size, or relative to the Telegram window's contents. In neither case it makes sense to zoom the window 2-times.
Actual behaviour
I performed the same test on both displays.
Scenario 1 I start on the native display. Window size is W/2 x H/2 = covering 1/4 of the screen area. When I switch to the external monitor, the size of the window is changed to W/2 x H. It means it becomes 2-times taller, while the width is preserved.
Scenario 2 I start on the external display. Window size is W/2 x H/2 = covering 1/4 of the screen area. When I switch to the internal display, the size of the window is changed to the whole desktop, i.e. W x H. It means it becomes 2-times wider and 2-times taller than it was.
