Cannot change colours of or edit imported SVG images

Describe the bug After importing an svg, the eyedropper tool cannot be used to colour pick from the image. The colour of the image also cannot be changed, and individual sections cannot be selected. (Unlike when using the 'Open SVG' functionality).

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to 'Svg-Edit drop down
2. Click on Import SVG
3. Choose any SVG image to import
4. Try to colour pick, or change the colour of the imported object
5. See error Expected behavior Expected same behaviour as seen when following the same steps under "Open SVG" instead. i.e. Should be able to colour pick from, as well as change the colours of the imported SVG.
