(Bug) Replacing an image erases the caption with no way to get it back

What happened?

When using the "replace image" button, then uploading a new version of the image, it seems like the whole block is replaced. The caption and the alignment (center, left, right) are both lost. It is not even possible to recover the previous caption or image using ctrl-Z.

Possible solution?

The caption and the image alignment should be kept for the new image.
