Downloads are seemingly ignored by XDM and the app does not work at all

PLEASE DO NOT JUST SAY "It does not work, or something not working etc." Provide enough relevent details so that the issue can be analyzed and reproduced easily

Describe the bug XDM seems to ignore my downloads completely. I downloaded it as a .deb, and installed it using Eddy (the built-in .deb installer). The app opens normally, with an icon in the system tray that can be clicked to open the download manager. However, when a download is started, the download only shows up in Firefox's built-in download manager, and is ignored by XDM. The app behaves as if no download has started. I've already tried restarting Firefox, restarting my computer, and making sure that browser monitoring is enabled.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Download, install, and open XDM
2. Try to download anything
3. Download doesn't show up in XDM

Expected behavior I expected that the download manager would manage my downloads.
