Disable 2FA as an option

I use Proton. Given that I have a VPN, an email forwarding address, a pretty robust 20 character password, I don't think I need to fire up my email to get a 6 digit code that didn't copy&paste well to access my notes.

I'm at home (security by Winchester) and feel relatively safe.

Can I (with verified email & strong password?) have (prompted at logoff maybe?) an option to disable 2FA (next login: this/any device; for some # hours/days/weeks; so many times; until I turn it on again) to ease the pain?
