Does anyone have an issue with the DNS Cache service running too often and taking an age to complete

I'm on Windows 11 Pro 25H2 The DNS Cache service kicks in quite often, takes ages to complete, I assume because it is reading the Hosts file, and whilst this is happening internet access is blocked. In addition the process seems to repeat 2 - 4 times each time it kicks in. The Hosts file has been compressed so that multiple entries exists per line. I've been using a StevenBlack Hosts file for many years.

This didn't start until very recently, following an Windows update, although stupidly I can't remember which one.

If anyone can shed any light on this issue I'd appreciate it.
