Text insertions/deletions are not grouped when using undo/redo

In v5, if we type a bunch of text, then hit backspace or delete multiple times to clear it, each individual keypress is treated as a single undo/redo action.

It seems to me that the more usual behaviour would be that multiple insertions or deletions would be grouped together as a single undo/redo action.
