ClearType not changing any text

Hi, I've been going insane for hours trying to get Cleartype to work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it like 3 different times, used many different profiles, but it still has no effect on any text. I know it can't change text that uses DirectWrite but I'm just looking at the regular notepad and file explorer in Windows.

I am on WIndows 11 25H2. No matter what profile I select, mactype has no effect. When I look for processes in the task manager, I only see that MacType process manager, nothing more. It seems like the process manager works but mactype isn't actually being injected into these apps.

I used this program on this machine about a year and a half ago and it worked great, but now it's not working, and it's frustrating. I'm wondering if someone could help me troubleshoot this issue. I was hoping I'd see some more widespread issue here on the github but it seems I'm the only one having this issue currently.
