URLs pasted into edited messages not recognized

• I have searched open and closed issues for duplicates.
• I am using Signal-Desktop as provided by the Signal team, not a 3rd-party package.

Overall summary

Pasting a URL (e.g., https://www.editorialtradicion.com/) into an edited message doesn't hyperlink it, turn it blue.

I'm using this package: https://updates.signal.org/desktop/apt/pool/s/signal-desktop/signal-desktop_8.13.0_amd64.deb

Steps to reproduce

1. Edit a message.
2. Paste a URL into it.
3. Hit the blue ✅ button or hit enter.

Expected result

The URL should be recognized and turned into richtext hyperlink. Entering URLs into new messages works fine; just not adding URLs to edited messages.

Actual result

The URL remains plaintext (not a hyperlink)
