Establish a tunnel from Shadowsocks Server to another Socks 5 Server (support UDP)

Author: JackychansCreated Jan 12, 2022Updated Apr 5, 2026

Hi everyone,

I'm just a very new to Shadowsocks server. I can setup Shadows Socks client and server already on my own. However, since not so many choices of ShadowsSock Server with IP residential available, I'm thinking of setup a ShadowSocks server acting as proxy intermediary, connecting to other Residential Proxy Providers through Socks5 protocol with all TCP and UDP traffic. To put it simple, the model looks like below

ShadowSocks client --> ShadowSocks Server ---(Socks5)--> Proxy 1 (host + port Socks 5 UDP supported) with IP residential ShadowSocks client --> ShadowSocks Server ---(Socks5)--> Proxy 2 (host + port Socks 5 UDP supported) with IP residential ... ShadowSocks client --> ShadowSocks Server ---(Socks5)--> Proxy N (host + port Socks 5 UDP supported) with IP residential

Ultimately, Just want to ensure privacy to hide TCP, especially UDP packets over some applications using VOIP, QUIC protocol and so on.

Looking forward to advices, thanks alot
