There's a huge speed difference on SSDs. If you call the interface via HTTP, there's a certain bottleneck. I wrote a test script that doesn't use HTTP and it's several times faster. Would SeaweedFS be better in a single-computer scenario if it offered an interface that doesn't use HTTP?
