AI swarms can autonomously hack HuggingFace, but vd won't create ~/.config/visidata of its own accord

Finalizing a macro pops a message saying I need to manually create ~/.config/visidata in order to save macros.
Usually, software creates this config directory upon first launch, or when first needed. It's unusual to be asked to manually create it. Is there a specific reason for this mkdir-hesitancy?
