Explorer hangs while Lively is running
Describe the bug
Hello:
I recently found this software and I really enjoy using it. Unfortunately, after installing it I started noticing significant hanging during my login process and subsequent issues with Explorer randomly hanging up. It took me awhile to isolate the problem, but I'm finding that my system returns to normal whenever I terminate Lively. Despite my best efforts, I haven't found any way to produce any meaningful logs of the login process. However, the most recent symptom is what lead me to finally determine that the issue is related to Lively.
I find that, usually shortly after login, my once-interactive background freezes. Then, the last several boots, I've discovered that eventually I can no longer open any folders because the explorer process seems to become partially unresponsive. While troubleshooting, I observed that I could access the system tray context menu of every app except for Lively, which was unresponsive. I killed the Lively process via Task Manager and my system immediately returned to normal, and 20 or so instances of file explorer windows appeared (from all of my attempts to access my filesystem while explorer was hung up).
Steps to reproduce
- Boot System
- Log in
- Interact with system until it glitches out (I spent a few hours working in VS Code earlier today before I discovered that I couldn't open folders to access files; later this evening, I booted up and played a game for awhile and then found myself in a similar predicament)
Expected behavior
- Explorer does not hang
- Login process is not stalled
- Interactive wallpaper does not freeze
