Bug Report: can not compile due to commit d5c5aeb

This commit breaks (at least) Linux compiling. It can also be seen in latest workflow actions, all Ubuntu packages failed to build which is not the case before this commit.

Can someone explain what this commit is for, and what would be the consequence of target redefinition?
