SQL Server - Driver Not Loaded

What is the bug or the crash?

I recently started using QGIS again and I am unable to connect to a local SQL Server instance. When I try to make a new connection or connect to one of my existing ones I get the error about the Driver Not Loaded.

I've reviewed my local installation and have made sure that I have all the components I expect that I need to be there.

Steps to reproduce the issue

Right click to add new connection for SQL Server. Enter all information (localhost as the server, username and password, etc.). Error when trying to connect.

3.44.9 LTR

Supported QGIS version

• I'm running a supported QGIS version according to the roadmap.

New profile

• I tried with a new QGIS profile

No Duplicate of the Issue

• I have verified that there are no existing issues raised related to my problem.

Additional context

Platform: MacOS 15.7.3

Installed supporting packages for MSSQL (via Brew): qt@5 freetds mssql-tools msodbcsql17 msodbcsql18
