GenAI does NOT respect privacy.

It's fundamentally not open source either but its another problem.

Despite the billions of reasons genAI in any way should be forgotten, the reason that directly clashes with what FOSS is supposed to be is that it just does not respect privacy.

You don't know what data was used to train it, and any model just a little powerful obligatory used more data that it should have. Data it did not have copyrights on, which is arguably a kind of privacy, and straight-up private data.

Even if you somehow made a model with data you had rights on, FOSS aims for a better world, and must not ignore all of the other problems related to it. I don't think even something that would be open source and respecting of privacy should be promoted if it causes harm.

TL;DR please remove all genAI from this list and spare FOSS from it. thank you
