Annotations not honouring spacial occlusion

Looking at this marvellous example here (and I've noticed that on my own splats before) https://vincentwoo.com/3d/grace_cathedral/

It becomes notably obvious that the current way the annotations behave in spacial context can be misleading because they don't adhere to depth (affecting size) or when they are actually affected by occlusion (solid wall in front of them, effectively hiding them). I do realize splats don't have physicality, but perhaps the voxel mesh can help with providing both surface and geometry to change the visibility (including translucency when covered) of the annotation. This will be useful moving forward where annotations can become other geometric objects, such as images or external video embeds.

Thanks for considering ;-) attached: same viewing angle, with annotations being visible through walls
