Twitch player shows "Failed to load module" and core-error overlay when script is enabled

Author: RouatbiHCreated Dec 31, 2025Updated Jan 5, 2026

Description

When this script is enabled, Twitch shows a “failed to load module” error and displays a div with the class core-error over the video player.

Important:
The video stream itself does play, but the core-error overlay covers the player area and blocks all mouse interaction (clicking, controls, etc.).

Disabling the script removes the overlay and restores normal interaction.

Expected behavior

  • Video player loads normally
  • No core-error overlay
  • Player controls remain clickable

Actual behavior

  • Video stream plays successfully
  • Twitch displays a “failed to load module” error
  • A div.core-error overlay appears on top of the player
  • Player area becomes non-interactive (cannot click controls)

Screenshot

The video is playing, but a core-error overlay blocks interaction with the player.
