[Bug]: Issue with menu bar not visible in all linux variants (.deb/.appimage/.snap/.rpm)

Reproduction steps

1. Download latest .appimage (not arm)
2. Open that appimage after making it executable
3. The menu bar and plugins are missing completely

Expected Behavior

There should be a menu bar and plugins on the top. Screenshot taken on older version:

Menu bar and plugins missing

Enabled plugins

none

same on arch linux, using defaults

I am having same issue with appimage on arch linux

also just noticed there are no plugins or anything in appimage the menubar itself is missing
