Update of `uuid` dependency because of vulnerability

Hi, I was wondering if you could update the uuid dependency and release a patch update with it. The current version ^8.3.0 has a known vulnerability.

Two pull requests in this repo tried to update that dependency. But both got automatically closed because no one merged them.
