What version of Codex CLI is running?

0.156.1 when the bug occurred. The CLI is now 0.157.0, but this case has not been retested there.

What subscription do you have?

Not provided.

Which model were you using?

Not recorded.

What platform is your computer?

Windows with WSL. The Windows and WSL versions were not recorded.

What terminal emulator and version are you using (if applicable)?

Windows Terminal running WSL. The terminal version and WSL distribution were not recorded.

Codex doctor report

Not captured for the affected 0.156.1 session.

What issue are you seeing?

A long plan extends above the visible terminal area in Windows Terminal with WSL. When Codex asks whether to implement the plan, I cannot scroll up to read its beginning. I tried both keyboard and mouse scrolling, but neither reached the hidden part of the plan. This prevents me from reviewing the full plan before choosing an answer.

What steps can reproduce the bug?

  1. Run Codex CLI 0.156.1 in Windows Terminal with WSL. Leave the TUI transcript mode at its default; do not set tui.fullscreen_transcript.
  2. Enter Plan mode and ask for a plan long enough to exceed the terminal height.
  3. Wait until Codex shows the question about implementing the plan.
  4. Try to scroll up to the start of the plan with the keyboard or mouse.

Observed: the start of the plan remains outside the visible area and cannot be read.

What is the expected behavior?

The full plan should remain scrollable while the implementation question is open, so I can review it before answering.

Additional information

I did not enable or disable tui.fullscreen_transcript in the affected WSL setup; it was left at its default. A similar Plan mode scrolling issue was reported in #10726 and closed as resolved in earlier releases. This report is for the later 0.156.1 release.
