Expected Behavior
When there is a misset/missing encoder it tells you more clearly where that misset is
Current Behavior
Recieve an error of missing codec when the current "stream configuration" if you hit "go live" wouldn't be a "problem"
IE simple is set fine
Advanced is not but simple is the active configuration
Or vice versa.
Steps to Reproduce
- In previous to 33
- Under
Settings->Output - Have
Simpleselected with a valid codec (or invalid) - Prior set
Advancedoutput modes to aVideo Encoderof missing codec thats about to be removed. - Set it back to
Simple - Restart OBS
- Upgrade OBS to 33
- Receive the alert popup of a missing codec
- Fix
Simpleto a valid codec - Restart OBS
- Recieve the warning again and be confused where to look
Anything else we should know?
Split out from #13941 as seperate issue
I wonder if this error might pop if you have a multistream plugin and that plugins is set to an invalid codec and the error won't report that it's in the multistream plugin? (not tested)
