Africa Region — When will Neon be available in Africa?

Neon has done a great job expanding its regional footprint, including the recent addition of São Paulo, which provides a much better option for users in South America.

However, Africa still has no Neon region.

For developers and businesses building applications for African customers, this is becoming an increasingly important consideration. Choosing a database region isn't just about latency — it can also involve data residency, compliance, reliability, and the overall user experience.

I'm based in South Africa and build applications primarily for small and medium-sized businesses. For these customers, having to place their primary database in Europe or another continent is not ideal when their users and business operations are in Africa.
