Claude VS Code Plugin Fails to Connect to ida-pro-mcp Despite MCP Server Being Listed as Online

I'm trying to use the ida-pro-mcp (idalib-based) plugin with the Claude extension in VS Code. However, when I attempt to invoke IDA Pro analysis through Claude, it fails to establish a connection to the MCP server. The MCP server (ida-pro-mcp) appears as online in the claude plugin list output. But within the VS Code Claude plugin, it cannot find or connect to the service, and instead enters an infinite loop (no error message, just hangs). This issue does not occur in the Claude desktop application, where the same MCP plugin works correctly. Is this a known limitation of the VS Code extension regarding local MCP tools? If not, could this connectivity issue be investigated and fixed?
