The new release no longer displays emojis in the simple text filter, showing only colorful ones in RTF.

I don't view this as a mistake, but it is less versatile now... Shotcut used to default to rendering emojis in monochrome, whereas now they don't even show up. When an emoji couldn't be displayed in black and white, the simple filter wouldn't render it, so one would resort to using RTF instead.

I have many custom filters that are breaking, but it’s mostly the artistic finish that gets ruined.
