What happened?

How are you running AnythingLLM? Desktop app (Windows 11) What happened?

When the AnythingLLM desktop app is open and focused, pressing the acute accent dead key (´) outputs a doubled accent (´´) on a single keypress, breaking accented character input (á, ã, é, etc.). This does not happen anywhere else on the system. Steps to reproduce:

Windows 11, Portuguese (Brazil) ABNT2 keyboard layout. Open AnythingLLM desktop app and focus any text input. Press the ´ dead key once. Output is ´´ instead of waiting for the next key to compose the accented character.

What I already ruled out (full diagnosis done):

Hardware: typing in BIOS/UEFI is perfectly normal — one keypress = one character. No key chatter. Windows settings: Filter Keys OFF, repeat delay/rate normal, only PT-BR ABNT2 layout installed (no US-International). The issue appears ONLY when AnythingLLM is running and disappears completely when the app is fully closed (confirmed via Task Manager).

Environment:

OS: Windows 11 Keyboard layout: Portuguese (Brazil) ABNT2 Machine: Lenovo LOQ (i5-12450HX, RTX 4050) AnythingLLM version: [preencha com a sua — veja em Settings/About]

Expected behavior: The ´ dead key should wait for the next key to compose accented characters (´ + a = á), as it does system-wide.

Are there known steps to reproduce?
