[SUGGESTION] File Explorer View

• This is an improvement to an existing feature (not a new feature request).

We need some way to be able to set the default for File Explorer to a view setting thta sticks. Setting the settings for a folder or drive to General in Customize and applying to all sub folders does not work. In future opening of folders, File Explorer changes the view based on the content, not what was applied earlier. Microsoft should have made this work. It used to in Windows XP.

Current behavior

Currently File Explorer will not apply the chosen view settings on folders that have other content in them. i.e. I set a folder to General Items. If the folder contains videos, file explorer changes the view to icons, not details as was set previously.

Proposed behavior

Be able to have the default setting for view (customize) that was set in properties.

Benefit

It is very annoying to have to change the view to Details and then to expand the name fied to be able to work with the files.

Additional context

The programmers, Kids or AI, did a poor job.
