[Bug] "Toggle Tabbar" state resets to on after opening more than one file

Description

When I disable the tab bar, it stays disabled until I open more than one file, then it turns on by itself. I tried custom and native title bar, and "Restore previous editor state" is on.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open two or more files in tabs.
2. Mark "Toggle Tabbar" off in the View menu or with the keyboard shortcut (tab bar is hidden).
3. Close all files, or all files except one, using the sidebar, File menu or keyboard shortcut (tab bar is still hidden). The bug doesn't happen if more than one file is left open in this step.
4. Open a second file (in case one file was left open in the last step), or more than one file (in case all files were closed in the last step). Tab bar shows up by itself.

Expected Behavior

Tab bar stays hidden until "Toggle Tabbar" is toggle on again manually.

Actual Behavior

Tab bar appears and "Toggle Tabbar" is toggle on by itself.
