[FEATURE] Incremental / Persistent World Generation with Fixed Coordinate Projection
Feature Request: Incremental Generation in a Persistent World with Fixed Real-World Coordinates Is your feature request related to a problem? Currently, Arnis works great for generating selected areas as a one-time process (usually centered around 0,0 or placed in a new world). However, many users want to build a long-term survival world or a large personal Earth map that grows over time. Describe the solution you'd like Add a second generation mode (or an advanced option in the existing one) with the following features:
Fixed Coordinate Projection Allow the user to define a permanent projection (e.g. latitude/longitude → Minecraft X/Z coordinates). Once set for a world, the same real-world location will always generate at the same X/Z coordinates.
Persistent World Support Load an existing Minecraft world. Visually show on the OpenStreetMap interface which areas have already been generated (highlighted overlay).
Incremental / On-Demand Generation At any time, select a new area on the map and "Generate / Extend" it. The tool should generate only the new area and place it in the correct coordinates inside the existing world. Smart protection: do not overwrite already generated chunks or player-built structures (perhaps with an option to enable "safe merge").
Additional nice-to-have Option to set a custom "origin point" (e.g. make Your City center = X:0, Z:0). Progress tracking and list of previously generated regions. Ability to regenerate only terrain/elevation or only buildings if needed.
Why this would be awesome This would turn Arnis into a perfect tool for long-term real-world survival servers and solo projects. Players could start with their hometown, then gradually expand to neighboring cities and countries in the same world without losing their builds. It would be similar to how Terra 1-to-1 or BuildTheEarth projects work, but much more user-friendly and accessible. Additional context I'm aware that basic "generate into existing world" already exists, but it lacks the coordinate consistency, visual feedback, and safe incremental workflow that would make large-scale persistent worlds practical. Would love to hear your thoughts on this!
