Finetune on custom dataset

I am a rookie in the field of depth estimation, I want to fine-tune the model on my own dataset.

As my ground truth depth map only represents relative depth, rather than absolute depth, so could it be grayscale images with values between 0-255?

If not possible, please advise me on the correct method of how should I prepare the ground truth depth map, thank you!
