Space being removed after a correction

Firefox plugin, over 155.0.1 (64-bit) on Linux Mint 22.3.
When I correct a spelling mistake (Spanish, Catalan, or English) within Gmail, the space at the end is sometimes being removed (I wasn't able to reproduce it; it just happened).
I'll provide further information if I'm able to reproduce it on demand.
