optimize deepagents trajectory based on codex trajectory

there are some cases (anecdotally) where the codex or claude code trajectory seems more efficient; it'd be great to run experiments w/ parallel jobs and figure out what those harnesses do better that we can learn from!

these harnesses get a lot of optimizations in terms of fs usage and subagent behavior, we can surely continue to learn from them
