an updated YouTube guide how to install koel with Docker

Hey friends,

In the search to install koel the other day, beyond following the dev doc guides, I realized I had gaps of knowledge as a non-coder to understand what was happening, despite following the written quick guide.

I like video tutorials and saw the last public guide on YouTube was 3 years outdated with Docker (play with docker being deprecated since March 2026, and the one before that, 8 years old, using CentOS 7), and both entering territory just beyond my head in most parts.

I love what this project is doing for thousands of users, and spent hours querying this forum, troubleshooting, understanding what I was looking at and finally had that a-ha moment when I got my koel working. (And then I also accidentally made a fatal MAC error, uninstalled it entirely, deleted database, then reinstalled). From 7 hours to 15 mins!

But I also saw familiar comments by people in the same boat as me, wondering what they were doing wrong under these old YouTube guides and reddits, so I figured, I'd like to share my own guide on how to install koel with Docker.

Here is an unlisted guide. I'd love to hear your thoughts, making koel more accessible for users with little to nothing coding knowledge
