Severity: P2. The channel exists, is World Monitor's, has been dormant for four months, and is referenced from nowhere on the site. Gemini is the weakest platform by 16 points and this is its largest reachable lever.

What exists

  • Channel is real and ours. externalId = UCqMywHwOgtoP2y0kNPesyNQ, canonical youtube.com/channel/UCqMywHwOgtoP2y0kNPesyNQ, feed title "World Monitor", description references worldmonitor.app. Verified with a control test — a fabricated handle returns zero externalId hits, so the probe distinguishes real channels from YouTube's 200-for-everything behaviour.
  • 15 uploads. Most recent 2026-05-13 — 119 days stale.
  • Titles are automated daily-brief style: "Global Risk Escalates: Iran Critical, Russia High…".

What is missing

The channel is referenced nowhere on the site:

Surface YouTube references
llms.txt 0
Homepage HTML 0 (youtube.com/@ or /channel)
/about 0
/docs/getting-started 0
Homepage sameAs arrays (two of them) absent from both

So an entity resolver has no path from worldmonitor.app to the channel, or back.

Why it matters for Gemini specifically

Gemini scored 62/100 in round 8 against 80–83 for every other platform. Round 7 put its honest ceiling at ~70 without a Wikipedia article, and identified YouTube as the single largest lever reachable without one, because Gemini surfaces YouTube natively in a way it never surfaces docs pages.

The asset is half-built. A dormant, unwired channel is a weak ecosystem signal — which is why the round-8 Gemini estimate was revised down from 66 to 62 once the dormancy and the missing wiring were established.

Fix, in order

  1. Wire it in. Add the channel URL to Organization.sameAs and to llms.txt. Two lines, and it is the only step that costs nothing.
  2. Add P2397 (YouTube channel ID) to Wikidata. Note this belongs on the organisation item, which does not exist yet — blocked on #7373, same as the other social-handle properties. Do not attach it to Q141237754, which types the software.
  3. Publish current content. Five or six 2–4 minute screen captures of the kind round 6 proposed — "reading the Country Instability Index", "tracking Strait of Hormuz transits". The existing 15 uploads are automated daily briefs, which is a different and weaker format than a demonstration of the product.
  4. Decide whether the automated daily-brief uploads should continue. A stale feed of machine-generated titles may be worth less than a small set of deliberate explainers.

Correction recorded

An earlier round-8 draft claimed the channel "ranks". That was wrong: oEmbed shows both cited videos belong to third parties — -wws31Ol3mc to JCharisTech and mJBJW8aFQ0E to Alex Hitt. That is third-party coverage of World Monitor, which is a real if minor brand signal, but it is not the channel ranking.
