Enhancement: compress image loses all metadata of the image

I like the toolset a lot, but when I, for example, compress a picture, I lose all of the metadata that was set in the picture file.

I can fix this manually afterwards with exiftool with the original picture, but it's a lot of work. Probably it's the same case for all other image tools.

Would it be possible to just hold/copy the metadata?
