Blank diagram when opening file

I have a strange problem which seems to be the same or similar as in #26.

Upon opening a file, a I get just the blank canvas without any elements:

I thought that the issue might be that I use VSCode mainly with WSL2 so I tried also without connecting to WSL2. Tried to install pre-release version of addon and I have still blank screen. In that other issue somebody mentioned that he had wrong settings.json without any specifics.

Did anyone encounter this issue and solve it? Is there some way on how to enable debugging to help author of the addon to pinpoint the issue?
