Web client polls "/api/v2.1/query-copy-move-progress/" at ludicruous speed during moves

Doing a move of large folders from one library to another, it is loop polling on /api/v2.1/query-copy-move-progress/?task_id= a dozen times a second. That seems like a lot for a progress bar that only moves every few minutes..
