[Feature]: Support for Custom/Non-Linear Depreciation

How can we help?

We recently started using the depreciation feature to track current asset valuations for potential resales to employees or third parties.

While the current straight-line depreciation model works well for assets that lose value evenly over time (e.g., reaching 0% after 4 years and losing 25% value each year), it does not accurately represent assets with non-linear or front-loaded depreciation curves.

For example, our laptop inventory depreciates on a non-linear schedule based on original purchase cost

• Brand New: 100%
• Year 1: 75%
• Year 2: 50%
• Year 3: 30%
• Year 4: 20%
• Year 5: 15%

but with the current system the depreciation snipe shows is closer to this:

• Brand New: 100%
• Year 1: 83%
• Year 2: 66%
• Year 3: 49%
• Year 4: 32%
• Year 5: 15%

It would be nice if this was changed so we can use the depreciation in Snipe to accurately depict the current value instead of having to calculate it using outside tools
