Describe the bug / actual behavior

new install when I try to save an new bookmark for a user, I get an error of.

JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data

Expected behavior

Fully expected to be able to save the link and be able to save even more

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to the + button for a new user
2. Add a new link to the database.
3. Click Save
4. See error JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data
